The CATALONIA EXCELSIOR hotel is located in an emblematic building dating from the mid 20th century, which has undergone comprehensive renovation throughout the year 2000. Its location is excellent, right in the centre of Valencia, in Barcelonina Street next to the Town´s Hall Square and a few metres from the railway station (Euromed, Alaris…), the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències and 15 minutes from the Trade Fair Centre and the airport. The hotel has 81 rooms on 7 floors, each of them with a view and equipped with parquet floor, air conditioning, heating, interactive satellite TV with pay-per-view movies, direct telephone line, safe deposit box, minibar and complete bathroom with a hair dryer, just to name a few of the amenities available. |

This excellent location makes it an ideal place to do some shopping in El Corte Inglés department store or some sightseeing in the historical district, where you can visit the Cathedral, Miguelete, Llotja dels Mercadors, Mercado Central or the Marqués de Dos Aguas Palace, the main Churrigueresque façade of which is famous worldwide.In the old part of the city you will find many monuments. You can start your itinerary with the Cathedral. This archaic Gothic temple has three portals: one of Romanesque style, one of Gothic style and the other of Baroque style. Do not miss the octagonal bell-tower and the Capitulary. Afterwards you can visit La Llotja and the surrounding area. The Palacio de la Generalitat (Valencian government), the church of los Santos Juanes or the Patriarca College are also there. |
